10/20: Pepper is about two and a half years old, weighs 25 pounds, and has been treated for heartworms. According to her foster mom, "Pepper is a very sweet girl who loves attention. She's mostly calm and loves to lay beside you and be petted, but she does have spurts of playfulness that come out in her. (Check out the video of her playing with a friend!) She loves playing with other dogs her size, and even did ok when introduced to a cat. Pepper does well with all women and children she comes into contact with, but she shows a fear of men, so she will need extra time to build trust with any men in her new home. [Update: Pepper and her foster mom have been working on this, and we are happy to report that she has made great progress and has almost conquered this fear!] She loves to take walks but will need to be walked with a thick leash so she doesn't try to chew through it if frightened. Her ideal home would have a fenced-in yard for her safety. She does extremely well with her housetraining as long as she is kept on a regular feeding schedule. Overall, Pepper is an absolutely amazing dog. She's a great combination of loving and playful!"
